We are very honoured to have been given the opportunity to the screening of this very special documentary in Amsterdam. For that, we are grateful to the Martin Gusinde Museum and the director Alberto Serrano for sharing this documentary about the life of the Yahgans and their cultural heritage.
Tánana: meaning ready to set sail in the Yahgan language, is about the return of Martín González Calderón to the heart of the Cape Horn archipelago. Martín González Calderón is a Yahgan artisan, member of the people that inhabit the southernmost territory of the planet for more than 6000 thousand years. He grew up in the channels of the Fuegian archipelago, navigating the particular geography of the utmost corner of America.
Language: Spanish spoken, subtitled in English.
